The Girls

Hair, make-up, beautiful dresses and pretty flowers…

This is just a few of the photos. Click here to see more on Flickr.

Warwick House has a great suite of rooms for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. Liz turned Amy into a film star while Danielle from Cabello styled my hair like Audrey Hepburn, she gave the two girls dinky little buns, then worked her magic on Sharron too (after her early start sorting the flowers). Jessie did my make up and made me feel amazing and ready to face the crowd that was growing downstairs.

Jo from Warwick House looked after us – checking all was OK and if there was there anything we needed. We were fine, we had Prosecco and Pastries! Jo explained the plan and that she would come and get us when the time came. It was the perfect combination of leaving us be, but knowing she was in control gave me great piece of mind.

Sharron from Enchanting Occasions blew us away with the beautiful bouquets and headdresses for the little ones. The pale pink and dark pink roses and the gypsophila looked just how I’d hoped they would.

Ellie and Charlotte were very good. Anna kept them busy and ensured they were fed and watered ready for their big day (thanks Anna!). They looked incredibly cute together and loved swishing around in their sparkly shoes and pretty dresses.

Everyone was remarkably relaxed and calm!

Next came The Dress.
It is just what I wanted. My mum and I popped into Susan Graley in Spon Street, Coventry just to browse dresses, only 7 weeks prior, and came out having picked the second dress I’d tried on. Susan was amazing – she had wonderful advice and picked up quickly what I was looking for. I’d set my heart on a 50s Tea Dress and that what I got.

I was the last to get ready – Mum and Anna helped me into my dress, lacing up my dress at the back. I was getting nervous by this point. We could see into the car park and saw lots of people arriving – all of them looking amazing.

Amy and Liz came back from getting ready and ooohs and ahhhs were exchanged then Dad, Amy, Charlotte and I were left alone to make our way down the staircase.

Ellie dancing around and Charlotte silent and serious they held hands and my heart melted. Dad gave me a huge hug and wished me luck and Amy, looking stunning, stepped through the curtain after the girls…
